Project Schedule

On 1 March 2016, the TU Berlin together with the Techniker Krankenkasse (TK) concluded an agreement on jointly carrying out a project on corporate health management (CHM). The objectives of the project are to promote working and organizational conditions that have positive effects on health and to offer support for individual healthy behaviors.

On the basis of the Prevention Act (Sec. 20 Social Code V, Soziales Gesetzbuch V), the TK supports universities in introducing and developing CHM. The project’s running time was initially 2 years and is extended until 31st December 2021.

For the duration of the project, the Health Management Steering Committee has created a working group that will organize and guide the content in close cooperation with the other members of the Steering Committee. The working group is made up of TU Berlin staff and an external process consultant, Ms. Dipl.-Psych. Inken Riese, who will moderate the process as a representative of the TK.

project phases

The project is officially divided into four phases. A detailed project plan on finding goals, networking, communication, and building structures was created at the beginning of the process and is being continually further developed.
In November 2016, a university-wide survey on the employees’ health was carried out to determine the current situation. In March 2017 we received the results of the survey. Based on the results, the Health Management Steering Committee will offer health-promoting measures specific to each target group.
