Human Resources & Continuing Education
The expression “lifelong learning” is not just a turn of phrase. In the age of continuing technological progress and increasing internationalization, it is important to continue educating yourself. Besides personal development, you can also better overcome professional challenges.
The continuing education opportunities at the TU Berlin are characterized by modern rooms and motivated instructors who lead you through interesting topics in which the focus is on learning and talking to colleagues.
For example, you can learn how you can juggle your challenging tasks at work and your many private obligations without forgetting yourself.
The Human Resource Development and Continuing Education Department offers an extensive continuing education program for TU Berlin employees on topics such as health, care, family and career , office management and law, occupational health, environmental and health protection, data processing and workshops, communication and methods, and language and culture.
The offers from the Central Institution for Scientific Continuing Education and Cooperation are made for the TU Berlin’s scientific staff members.
If you cannot find a suitable offer for you, then please contact the Human Resource Development and Continuing Education Department. They will be happy to advise you and can also organize special measures for your area that are oriented on your target group and tailored to your workplace.
TU Berlin employees can participate in the continuing education program for free, and the time spent in the courses is considered working hours.
Special Offer: Shadowing

The coach observes you unobtrusively, remaining in the background. They accompany you and do not participate in conversations.
Shadowing provides you with support if …
- you would like feedback about your habitual processes and patterns from the perspective of a neutral observer
- you wish to improve your staff management and communication skills.
- you wish to clarify questions about
As the measure will initially be conducted in a pilot trial as part of the BGM (occupational health management) project and later evaluated, participation is limited.

arrange organizational details. We also advise as to which coach from

you should arrange a time for the shadowing session directly with
A shadowing session is scheduled to last roughly 3-4 hours. In a separate session, you and your coach will discuss this experience. During this one-hour session, you discuss the observation and results and, if necessary, further steps for action. We kindly ask that you and the coach provide feedback on this offer so that the quality can further be ensured. The content of the shadowing session is not included in the evaluation.
The shadowing offer is financed with BGM project funds.
